Sam – Business Owner
Hello! I’m Mrs. Dearlove, the owner and founder of Dearlove Dogs. My journey with animals began in my teenage years when I volunteered at local rehoming centres. This passion paved the way for my career at the RSPCA Hull and East Riding, the UK’s largest animal charity. During my time there, I gained extensive experience in handling and caring for a wide variety of domestic animals while also pursuing my qualifications in dog behaviour, training, and grooming.
At Dearlove Dogs, I offer personalised dog training sessions, both group and solo dog walking, microchipping, and grooming services. I am fully qualified, DBS checked, and trained in canine first aid.
Chelsea
Chelsea is our most senior walker, having been a valued member of our team since 2021. She studied Animal Management at a specialised local college, where she earned her NVQ Level 3. With several years of experience working with dogs, Chelsea spent a significant amount of time at a busy Doggy Day Care centre. There, she honed her skills in managing large groups of dogs, understanding their behaviour, and ensuring their safety and well-being in a dynamic environment. This hands-on experience allowed her to develop a keen ability to recognise individual dog personalities and needs, fostering positive interactions among them.
Chelsea offers both solo and group walking sessions, as well as pet sitting services. She is a qualified canine first aider and has completed her DBS check, ensuring the highest level of care for your pets.
Michaela
Michaela is the newest member of the D-Dogs team, offering both solo and group walking sessions, as well as pet sitting services. She holds a qualification in Animal Management with a Double Distinction Merit, is certified in Canine First Aid, and has passed her DBS check. Michaela joined the team in 2024 after her previous role at Pets at Home, the UK’s largest pet store, where she gained extensive knowledge about a wide variety of pets, from dogs to reptiles.
In addition to her professional experience, Michaela has volunteered at a local shelter, where she cared for retired Greyhounds. This rewarding experience taught her valuable skills in handling dogs with high prey drives.
Michaela is also a devoted dog owner, sharing her home with three dogs, two of whom are rescue dogs that came to her with behavioural challenges. In her spare time, she enjoys continuing their training and teaching them new tricks.
100% recommend the DLD team. They’re absolutely brilliant with my German Shepherd and even better with easing my constant dog mum worries! Really lovely people who handle my dog brilliantly.

Could not recommend enough!! Buddy absolutely loves his little crazy gang of pup friends and they have helped him overcome his anxiety in the car soooo much, he’s still not perfect but a million miles away from the crying howling dog we once had in the car. And the girls who walk Buddy really do love him and care for him which makes us feel so much better. Thank you x
